Jackie Cheng, MEd., R.Psych
Jackie received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge, a Post-Undergraduate Counselling Diploma – specializing in psychoeducational skills and guidance from the University of Calgary, and her M.Ed. in School and Counselling Psychology from the University of Saskatchewan. Jackie is a Registered Psychologist in Alberta with over ten years of clinical experience working with young children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, in both public and private sectors, and in both urban and rural settings.
Jackie joined Fercho Psychological Services in 2015, helping to provide both therapy and psycho-educational assessments and diagnosis for children, adolescents, and adult clients with giftedness, learning disorders, ADHD, behavioural challenges, anxiety and depression concerns. Her therapy approach is integrative and eclectic, based on the unique needs of each client. She draws upon a number of evidence based approaches, including narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing, existential therapy, expressive arts, solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness practices.
